The City's Planning, Building, Engineering, and Fire departments have made limited progress towards developing a comprehensive electronic site plan tracking system process. The System that was implemented during 2012 includes a pre-process meeting with the developer, then as a site plan works its way through the various City departments, the files are saved to a shared server so that all plan review documents can be viewed by all departments. Since the implementation of pre-process development meetings, the department heads are collaborating well and the process has been significantly streamlined from hard-copy site plan review.
The primary barrier moving forward is an investment in process software, and there is not currently a plan for investment in this software.
