County-wide EMS services with 2 funding sources: a .2799 property tax and a fee for service. There is not any general fund funding for EMS by any government.

The countywide EMS provides a consistent level of service for constituents throughout the county.  Creates the need for only one set of policies and procedures for delivery of service.  Having one system avoids the need to have multiple management teams and EMS infrastructure.  The single EMS system has been in place since 1968 making if very difficult to quantify the annual savings of have a single system.  It is estimated that savings are significant.
