The Village of Homer has contracted with Calhoun County Sheriffs Office  to provide police protection for the Village and its residents effective May 15, 2014.  The current local police department has been disbanded as a result.

County Sheriffs will be the primary source for all police department services from this day forward.  The 911 Dispatch services were contracted with the Sheriff in 2009, with an amendment to the terms in 2013.  

This most recent change will complete a full transition for these vital community services to the Sheriff’s Department.
