Description
The Villages of Homer and Tekonsha are looking into having Homer Village provide part-time police services to the Village of Tekonsha. The Village anticipates revenue of approximately $20,000 per year to our General Fund.
The Village of Tekonsha decided in January of 2013 to put the proposal on hold until 2014 due to lack of funding in their General Fund.
Revisiting the possibility in Tekonsha's 2014 fiscal year budget. We are going to reopen the possibility in early 2014 to see if both communities can make this a viable option for both municipalities.
