WEBSITE MAINTENCE - MARCH 22-23, 2018: We are running some stress testing on the system in an active (workday) environment in order to get real time feedback on system performance and to allow us to test the security updates that have recently been incorporated. The 2022 Kindergarten projection requires the 2016 county birth rate that has yet to be released. Therefore the 2022 Kindergarten projection will be listed as N/A.

MICHIGAN SCHOOLS: The new stated-mandated transparency group header for teacher and administrator evaluation tools has been added to the list of Transparency headers. The header is named  "Educator Evaluation Systems Postings and Assurances".  To upload these documents, go to My Profile > School Documents and click 'Add New'. The Transparency audit report has been updated accordingly.

SCHOOL EDITION: When uploading FID files, you no longer need to have all three files. You can upload just Revenues, Expenditures or Statement of Position files separately. Keep in mind the upload will first delete whatever is stored for the year. Also, the Fiscal Score algorithm will be run automatically at the completion of the FID upload. You can now upload ZIP files as part of your Budget & Transparency compliance.

DEBT DETAIL: Due to a request from the Department of Treasury, we have added "Internal Service Funds" and "Water Revenue" to the pick list of repayment sources. When adding or editing debt obligations you can now select from these new options when identifying the repayment source.

DEBT DETAIL: The Debt Detail reports now adjust for your local unit's fiscal year and will report by fiscal year. The payment schedule due dates should be entered as the actual date and the Munetrix Debt Detail module will translate the payments into the proper fiscal year.

DEBT DETAIL: For all users who have been entering your Debt Detail records we have made a change to the method of entering dates. We removed the calendar pop up for selecting a date. You now must type dates into the Date Issuance field and Debt Payment Due Date field using the format yyyy-mm-dd.

DEBT DETAIL: A new module has been added to Munetrix for storing, reporting and analyzing Long-term Debt Detail. This capability has become a compliance requirement for both Municipalities and Schools. For Municipalities it is required for EVIP Category 1 compliance and for Schools it is required for Best Practices compliance. You will find the debt detail data entry grid at the bottom of your local unit's home page in Munetrix. Only licensed users with the role of Fiscal Editor will see the debt detail data grid.

This means that your municipal dashboards will now compare school district enrollment as: Current Year 2010-2011 versus Prior Year 2009-2010. It has come to our attention that the State Department of Treasury, after reviewing some EVIP compliance packages, has requested a note on the dashboard of communities that do not have Pension or OPEB programs. The Pension and OPEB notes that are already part of Munetrix are now displayed on the bottom of the dashboard as well as in the footer of the Pension and OPEB charts. We have created a training video that will help you edit these footnotes.

As a result of feedback from the Munetrix User Group, the Annual Data Status label "Audited" has been changed to "Historic." Your 2006 - 2010 data is now labeled "Historic" and locked as read-only. You can now label your 2011 data, for example, as "Audited" and still be able to edit the data.

When calculating a Fiscal Distress score for years 2011 and beyond, the algorithm has been modified so that the 2010 population census number is the basis for the Population Growth score as opposed to the 2000 Census population for years 2010 and earlier.
