There are three levels of data access in Munetrix:

Level I – also known as public access, is a municipality or school district that has not purchased an editing license to the data nor has the municipality or school district been sponsored for read-only access to the data by a regional authority. When a user clicks on the unit’s name in data lists the unit’s home page in Munetrix is displayed. If the user drills down on an annual year or report, a pop-up explains that the local unit is not sponsored.

Level II – also known as sponsored access is a municipality or school district whose data has been “lit up” for the general public to see all its detail. When a user clicks on the unit’s name in data lists the user is navigated to the home page of the municipality or school district with access to all the data available in Munetrix. A sponsored-only local unit does not have the ability to edit data, enter budgets and forecasts, track long-term debt detail, or create peer groups.

Level III – also known as licensed access is a municipality or school district that has purchased a data-editing license. Authorized users have access to edit data for one or more municipalities or school districts. In addition, a licensed user has access to all municipal and school data in Munetrix regardless of the level of exposure for any given municipality or school district.
