Municipal Annual Data Upload

playvideosmallTo see the F65 upload utility in action watch the short How To video, “Upload Your F65 File”.

Most municipalities in Michigan are required to annually file an F65 report to the Michigan Department of Treasury (MDOT). The file can be uploaded from a state-supplied MS Excel F65 form or typed into the State’s F65 user portal (http://f65.mitreasury.msu.edu/default.aspx).

The same file that is uploaded to MDOT can be quickly uploaded to Munetrix. The upload utility can be found in the My Profile link of the User’s Corner Welcome Button.

The file that is uploaded to Munetrix must either be the state-supplied MS Excel template or the Munetrix standardized CSV file format.

Select Municipality: In the drop down list you will see all the municipalities for which you have editing rights.

Fiscal year: The utility will know which years are available for uploading. You cannot upload an F65 to a year that is flagged as “Historic.”

Software Type: You can choose from a CSV file exported from the BS&A financial software, the Michigan-supplied MS Excel template, or the Munetrix standard CSV file format.

State's F65 MS Excel Workbook Year: If you selected the Michigan MS Excel template, the utility will translate which version of the template should be used. For example, if your 2013 fiscal year end falls between July – December, you should be using the state’s 2014 template. If your 2013 fiscal year end falls between January – June, you should be using the state’s 2013 template. The template used is determined by the state’s June year end definition.

Upload File: Browse to locate your file and select it for the upload process.

Save Details: Clicking the Save Details button will launch the upload utility.

If the F65 file uploads properly, you will receive a green confirmation dialog box.

If there is an error during the upload process, you will receive a red confirmation dialog box.
