To avoid confusion between Schools and Buildings, the Munetrix PSD utilizes four terms in the PSD system; District, Schedule, Building and Drill.
District – is the organization required to publish the successful execution of drills. In the State’s Entity Master, PSA’s are treated at the same level as a District. In some cases this user’s manual will use the term district synonymously for either a school district or a PSA.
Schedule – is linked to a building and contains a collection of drills.
Building – is any structure that must conduct public safety drills. In some cases, a state’s Entity Master will contain buildings that do not require drills to be conducted. In other cases, buildings exist that require safety drills but are not included in a state’s Entity Master. The PSD will handle this by permitting the addition or deletion of buildings and schedules.
Drill – is an individual event scheduled to conduct a public safety drill.
