Pension Notes:
The City of Flint is a member of the Municipal Employees Retirement System (MERS).  All eligible employees are classified in various employment divisions as negotiated with various labor unions at the City.  All pension action outside of city labor negotiation is handled by the MERS Board.
 
OPEB Notes:
The City's other post-employment benefits are for retiree healthcare.  Currently the city does not have a trust and is on a pay-as-you-go condition.
