The Village of Lake Odessa has strived to reduce payroll expenses at all levels. Staff reduction initiatives started in 1999, and since then seven different positions have been consolidated into three positions: the Village Manager/Police Chief, Treasurer/Clerk and Finance Director. These three positions have absorbed many duties and responsibilities without any reduction in services to tax payers. These efforts have resulted in a payroll expenditure savings of $878,627, since 1999.
